Driver slides off after having hard time keeping control (Greene County Daily World)

No injuries were reported following a one vehicle slide-off accident in Center Township in eastern Greene County Tuesday morning. Sandra Ferguson, 35, of rural Bloomfield was northbound in a 1999 Toyota Corolla on State Road 45 south of Carter Rd when she lost control and ran off the road.

LITTLETON, Mass. (AP) - An 87-year-old woman has been killed after apparently misjudging the distance of an oncoming tractor trailer. Police said Gertrude Houghton's 2009 Toyota Corolla struck the westbound truck at Spectacle Pond Road and Route 110 while trying to make a left turn. The Littleton resident was pronounced dead at the scene. read more
