Congressman Pete Stark says Toyota hopes to keep NUMMI open (San Jose Mercury News)

A day after General Motors said it plans to end its 25-year relationship with the New United Motor Manufacturing plant in Fremont, East Bay Congressman Pete Stark said the plant's other automaker, Toyota, is looking for ways to keep the facility open.

Fox News reporter Craig Boswell was injured in a hit and run late Monday night outside the Jackson family compound in Encino, California. Boswell was struck in the foot by a woman speeding through the neighborhood in a gold Toyota Corolla, the report said.
